I know many of you have been awaiting news on how we will continue with the enrollment process for instrumental music. With the current situation regarding the pandemic, we will be assessing instrument compatibility during the first week (or possibly beginning the week before school starts) of the coming school year. However, the scheduling process for rising 6th graders is happening now. Students will be temporarily assigned to instrumental music classes the first week of school while instrument compatibility is assessed during class time. By the end of that week, students will receive their instrument placement and be scheduled into the correct instrumental music class for week two. Things are a bit different right now, but we are fortunate to have a system that values our instrumental programs and will allow us the flexibility during this time to find the right fit for your student! Once the instrument placement is determined, the next steps in the process will be communicated by the band director. Families should get their student signed up for an instrumental ensemble by completing the appropriate Google Form link found below or from your current school. Families only need to fill out the form once. We are asking that you complete the form by May 15, so the information can be turned in for the scheduling process.
